与此前媒体猜测的一致,大众汽车集团正式对外发布公开声明,经过大众汽车举行的监事会选举,现任保时捷CEO穆勒获得了大多数股东支持,他将接替马丁·文德恩担任大众汽车集团CEO。
在这份官方声明中指出,新任CEO穆勒是临危受命,他最为紧迫的任务就是赢回各方信任。作为董事会一员,穆勒的合同将在2020年2月到期。而在未找到合适人选之前,穆勒仍然会兼任保时捷CEO一职。
“我目前最紧迫的任务是将大众坍塌的信任恢复,了解实际情况得出正确的结论,并让大家了解到事实真相。”穆勒称,“在我的领导下,大众汽车将实施汽车行业中最为严格的规范和治理标准。如果我们能够做到这一点,大众汽车集团将凭借我们的创新实力、强大的品牌力和最有实力并充满活力的团队,有机会从这次危机中,并获得超越以往的表现。”
与此同时,当天会议公布的消息还包括:大众汽车将把美国、墨西哥、加拿大的业务整合为新的北美事业单元,斯柯达董事会主席范安德将出任新业务板块的负责人,他同时担负彻查北美尾气排放作假丑闻的任务,而此前盛传将被迫离职的美国业务负责人Michael Horn,仍旧担任大众美国地区总裁兼CEO。该职位并未发生变动。据悉,自10月1日起,保时捷全球销售总监Bernhard Maier将接替范安德担任斯柯达品牌CEO一职。
另外,大众汽车集团旗下各品牌高层都发生了一些变动,而有消息称,大众汽车还将于11月9日召开特别股东大会,讨论更多企业战略与公司架构问题。
对于大众汽车集团新任CEO穆勒,摆在其面前的是大众汽车正陷入在全球各地的诚信危机,除排放造假肇事地北美之外,欧洲、日韩、印度等地相继传出大众在当地被接受调查的消息。等待大众新任掌门的可能是国会听证、刑事追责、巨额罚款等等。
汽车行业内人士普遍预计,在穆勒出任新CEO后,他将会对大众汽车管理层进行一系列新的调整,以确保管理架构能够团结一致顺利度过危机,重新挽回大众汽车在欧洲以及世界上的声誉。

Müller remains Chairman of Porsche AG until a successor has been found
Wolfsburg, September 25, 2015 –
Matthias Müller (62) has been appointed CEO ofVolkswagen AG with immediate effect. This was decided by the Supervisory Board at itsmeeting in Wolfsburg today (Friday). Müller is currently Chairman of Porsche AG inStuttgart. He will continue in this function until a successor has been found.
The interim Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG, Berthold Huber,underscored: “Matthias Müller is a person of great strategic, entrepreneurial and socialcompetence. He knows the Group and its brands well and can immediately engage in his newtask with full energy. We expressly value his critical and constructive approach.”
Bernd Osterloh, Chairman of the Group Works Council, commented: “When it comes toleadership appointments the Volkswagen Group does not need hasty decisions. We know andvalue Matthias Müller for his determination and decisiveness. He does not work on his own,rather he is a team player. That is what Volkswagen needs now.”
Matthias Müller said: “My most urgent task is to win back trust for the Volkswagen Group – byleaving no stone unturned and with maximum transparency, as well as drawing the rightconclusions from the current situation. Under my leadership, Volkswagen will do everything itcan to develop and implement the most stringent compliance and governance standards in ourindustry. If we manage to achieve that then the Volkswagen Group with its innovative strength,its strong brands and above all its competent and highly motivated team has the opportunity toemerge from this crisis stronger than before.”
Matthias Müller was born in Chemnitz (Saxony) on June 9, 1953. He completed his high schooleducation in Ingolstadt followed by an apprenticeship as a toolmaker with AUDI AG. He thenstudied computer science at Munich University of Applied Sciences. After obtaining his master’sdegree in computer science, Müller resumed his career with AUDI AG in Ingolstadt in 1978,becoming Head of the Systems Analysis Division in 1984 and Head of Project Management forthe Audi A3 in 1993. He assumed responsibility for Product Management at Audi AG, SEAT andLamborghini in 1995.
Müller moved to Wolfsburg as Head of Product Management of the Volkswagen Group and theVolkswagen brand in 2007 and also became a General Representative of the VolkswagenGroup. He has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG and amember of the Executive Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE since 2010. In his function asChairman of the Executive Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Müller was appointed memberof the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG effective March 1, 2015.
Matthias Müller’s current contract as a Board member of Volkswagen AG will continue to applyin his new function as CEO. This contract runs until the end of February 2020.
Matthias Müller succeeds Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, who offered his resignation on
Wednesday.
