The 12th Chengdu Motor Show Kicked off

The Twelfth Chengdu International Motor Show opened on Sep.18, 2009. As the most important auto market in the western area, there has been no doubt about the strategic status of Chengdu. Various kinds of new automobiles have been exhibited this year including some strategic models like New Alto, Sagitar 1.4 TSI. The following are all the new autos on this show.

　　1. New Alto

　　Date of launching: Sep. 16

　　Price: 44,900-58,900RMB

In order to attract customers' attention and take the first-mover advantage, New Alto was available on Sep.16 before the motor show with the price of 44,900 to 58,900 RMB. The 3 types of 1.0L displacement models are GLX 1.0 MT-type for 44,900 RMB, 1.0 MT-type Manual Luxury Transmission for 49,900RMB and 1.0 MT-type Auto Luxury Transmission for 58,900RMB.

　　2. Sagitar 1.4TSI

　　Date of launching: Sep. 17

　　Price: 144,880-169,800RMB

On Sep.17, Volkswagen finally announced the price of its four types of Sagitar 1.4TSI that that is long waited by market: Manual Skilled Transmission for 148,800RMB, Manual Luxury Transmission for 155,800RMB, Auto Skilled Transmission for 162,800RMB and Auto Luxury Transmission for 169,800RMB. There are still two types of manual cars in this round of new launching and not all the cars are equipped with DSG. At the same time, Volkswagen takes this opportunity to announce a price adjustment for its 1.6 and 1.8T models by cutting 5000/6000RMB to 132,800-147,800RMB for 1.6L model and 172,800-184,800RMB for 1.8TSI model respectively.

We noted that Magotan equipped DSG with 6-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox and 7-speed dry dual clutch for1.4 TSI engine. According to some experts, this combination of 1.4 TSI engine and 7-speed dry dual clutch is very impressive for some customers because to exceed PTO 2.0L, only high-end models are equipped with 7-speed transmission which is far more sensitive than manual transmission while at the same time, customers can enjoy the tax incentives due to the policy for the low-emission car and theoretically much more efficient than 2.0L model.

　　3. Dong Feng New Peugeot 307

　　Date of launching: Sep. 17

　　Price: 103,800-146,800RMB

With the price down a little to 103,800-146,800RMB, there is not much difference at exterior-interior between New Peugeot 307 and Peugeot 307. The main change is the ESP, known as Electronic Stability Programme and this will be the last facelift that Dong Feng Peugeot made for 307.

Its engine and chassis have been re-adjusted and been equipped with aluminum alloy air throttle which can be self-cleaning. According to ifeng.com the new model can boosted its engine power while much more efficient, environmental-friendly while more comfortable during driving because smooth shifting can be made due to this adjustment.

　　4. New Citroen C4 Coupe

　　Date of launching: Sep. 18

　　Price: 199,800-229,800RMB

Compared with five-door version, the New Citroen C4 Coupe looks more stylish, dynamic and fashionable. Three types: VTS Edition, Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Edition with Car GPS (Navigation) sold 199,800RMB, 219,800RMB and 229,800RMB respectively.

Interior parts of the New Citroen C4 Coupe are made by high-end decorative fabrics and are newly equipped with GPS on the original communication system. 　　6. 3 types of Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz's C63 AMG, SLK55 AMG and SL63 AMG made an debut on Sep. 18 in Chengdu International Auto Show, the price of which are 998,000RMB, 1,299,000RMB and 2,568,000RMB respectively.

The C63 AMG can be a strong competitors to BMW M3 with the fastest speed of 250 km/h. As a compact convertible coupe, SLK 55 AMG was equipped with the only type of 5.5L naturally-aspirated engine in AMG serial, the fastest speed of which can be up to 250 km/h. SL63 AMG, however, was also adopted an 6.2L naturally-aspirated engine with the maximum output power of 525hp, 630Nm of maximum torque. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission meets the driver's most disparate requirements and its fastest speed can be 250 km/h. Additionally, customers can be interested in the RACE START function of SL63 AMG .

　　7. Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe

　　Date of launching: Sep. 18

　　Price: 822,000RMB

On Sep.18, E350 Coupe was officially showed in Chengdu. After comparing some parameters we noted that chassis is still the type of C-Class while the exterior is the E-Class. E350 Coupe was equipped with 3.5L V6 engine, with maximum horsepower of 272hp and 350Nm of maximum torque. Its fastest speed can reach 250km/h and the speed can be accelerated to 100km/h within 6.3 seconds thanks to its 7G-Tronic gearbox.

　　8.The new Pajero 3.0L

　　Date of launching: Sep. 18

　　Price: 298,000-438,000RMB

The new Pajero 3.0L has a better engine performance with a lower price. It can be predicted that the launch of Pajero 3.0L will definitely have an enormous impact on the domestic high-end SUV imports market. According to Mitsubishi Motor Sales (China) Co., Ltd a more competitive SUV will be launched in the coming quarter.

　　9. Huatai Santa Fe C9

　　Date of launching: Sep. 18

　　Price: 131,800-219,800RMB

It can be obviously seen that there are some improvements both in exterior and interior. As the first SUV of Huatai, it not only has a smart look but also the more attractive inner equipment with 1.8T gasoline engine, which is the only type of SUV that adopted the small-displacement turbo in domestic auto market.
