2010 sales target of FAW 2.3million units

　　Jan.24th, a reporter of First Financial Daily learned from FAW Group’s 2010General Assembly on procurement being held that in 2010 FAW Group plans to reach a sales target of more than 2.3 million units and a sales income of 290 billion Yuan.

　　　Under the national regulation and a number of incentive policies, in 2009 our Chinese auto market has been developed far better than expected at the beginning of the year, showing a trend of growing explosively.

　　The sales of FAW Group were 1.945 million units and the incomes reached 260.8 billion Yuan, increasing by 26.9% and 23.4% from a year earlier.

　　With a planning sales volume of 2.3million units and a sales income of 290 billion Yuan, FAW Group is now very confident in its development in 2010. Among them, FAW-Volkswagen plans to reach a target of 80,000 million units, FAW-Toyota 50,000 units and FAW sedan 24,000 units.

　　Jin Yi, deputy general manager of FAW Group Corporation, told the reporter that currently Chinese auto industry is in a good stage, and will enter into a second period of rapid growth. In the year of 2010, the continuation of the policy of introducing vehicles to the countryside, the cash for clunkers policy increase payment from 5,000 to 18,000Yuan and the implementation of new energy incentives, will all benefit the development of Chinese automobile industry.(Translator: yalong/Jessie)
