BYD: Joint projects n with Mercedes-Benz

　　There again comes the follow-up progress of co-operation between BYD and Mercedes-Benz. Citing an undisclosed source from Beijing Times, Wang Chuanfu, BYD president, said there would no be a detailed timetable. However, their R & D center in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz will be most likely be settle in Shenzhen for the strong support of the Shenzhen Municipal Government. To develop electric vehicles needs the support of local government.

　　“In the initial stage，the R & D center is planned to be in Shenzhen,” BYD gave a reply to the newspaper Beijing times yesterday. However, it also expressed the construction of the electric vehicle charging station will still be a major problem.

　　As for after-sales service of electric vehicles in the Chinese auto market, BYD hopes to find out a way to cooperate with local governments and meanwhile do adjustment according the policies. It is reported that BYD has now already reached a consensus with Shenzhen to largely develop electric vehicles.
