Reporters learned from the China Machinery Industry Federation that China's auto industry has gone through a six-decade course since the founding in 1953 to the present. Chinese automobile industry shifted from a small one to a giant and is gradually embracing a new developmental stage which refers to the change from large scale to strong and full scale. All the achievements that Chinese auto industry gained did not come overnight. The progress was based on an enduring pursuit. International and Chinese experiences show that automotive industry calls for high-degree association, intensive capital, long industrial chain and strong driving power. All the factors are suitable for the development of industrial cluster model. Such a kind of model is favorable for the issues of resources sharing, brand establishment and independent innovation. The auto industry should stick to an open and co-operative attitude in order to achieve development. It is impossible to form a strong market without teamwork.
In 2009, China's auto output and sales is expected to top 10 million. The volume may even exceed 12 million, which means that China has entered a new stage of development and become an important power in global auto market. China's auto industry has not only become an important part of the international automotive capitals and technologies, but also the world's most dynamic car market with great potentials.
