New Changan appointed new directors

On October, 31 2009 China Ordnance Equipment Group Corporation appointed Yin Jiaxu as vice chairman of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and appointed Xu Liuping as the Group’s president and party secretary .After that on November 14 2009 China Ordnance Equipment Group Corporation appointed some directors of the Group’s board.

China Ordnance Equipment Group Corporation’s party decided to appoint Xu Bin, Yin Jiaxu, Xu Liuping, Zhang Baolin, Li Dacheng, Huangpu, Fu Youxian, Zou Wenchao as directors of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd.’s board. Li Keqiang, Ren Xiaochang, Huang Yaowen as independent directors in the board. Additionally, Xubin as chairman of the board and Yin Jiaxu as vice chairman of the board .Based on the above fact, former board members of the Group left their positions automatically.

In the new China Changan Automobile Group’s board of directors, Li Dacheng, Huangpu, Fu Youxian and Zou Wenchao were the first time on the board. In addition to Zou Wenchao, the other three new directors all had the experience of working in China Ordnance Equipment Group Corporation, in which Li Dacheng originally was the deputy director of its development and planning department, Huangpu was originally the deputy director of its finance department and Fu Youxian was originally the deputy director of its human resources department. Moreover, Zou Wenchao originally was the deputy manager and director of Chongqing Chana Automobile .Meanwhile Zou Wenchao was also the executive vice president of Changan Ford Mazda and vice president of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd.

China Ordnance Equipment Group Corporation also announced Deng Zhiyou was no longer the vice president of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd and Zheng Qi was no longer the qualified accountant of China's Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd.

Among the three independent directors, Li Keqiang is the routine deputy director of Tsinghua university‘s Automotive Engineering. Additionally, Ren Xiaochang is the principal of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute and Huang Yaowen is a perennial legal counsel of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s branch in Beijing.

After the above two personnel changes, Xu Liuping will fully in charge of the overall work of new Changan Automotive Group. On October 30, 2009 when Xu Liuping held an all staff meeting at Changan Automotive Group he said, “Under the leadership of our party group and chairman Xu Bin and president Yin Jiaxu, Changan Automotive Group performed excellently in the past four years. Above all the success was closely related to staff’s efforts. Since the party group decided to appoint me to preside over a comprehensive work, I firmly obeyed and I believe the party and you staff trust me.”

It is said that China National Aviation Group would also send about 2-3 people into the Changan Automotive Group's board of directors, of which a person would serve as vice chairman. By then, Changan Automobile Group would have two vice-chairman, one is Yin Jiaxu. (Translator: Qinghua Wade)
