Sales of Luxury Vehicles Surge in Chongqing

　　According to the organizing committee of Chongqing Auto Show, in the first two days of the exhibition, the well-off people in the city of Chongqing have bought a large number of high-end vehicles. The average sales of every major high-end brand in the first two days are about ten units. Audi and Mercedes-Benz received six orders per hour and Porsche's sales in two days are higher than the monthly sales of a 4S shop in Chongqing. Bentley got three orders and Aston Martin received three orders as well. Jaguar has sold at least four cars.

　　On June 11, the organizing committee's statistics showed that in the first two days of the exhibition, every major luxury car brand could receive ten orders averagely. Among all the brands, Audi and Mercedes-Benz got higher sales-six units per hour. In addition, Porsche's orders in two days exceeded what a 4S dealership in Chongqing can receive in a month. In order to attract as many customers as possible, BMW, Lexus and Bentley had to add more cars so that they can fill the vacant stage after rich people drove those cars away.

　　So who are the customers of those luxury cars? In the past, bosses from several fields including real estate, automobile parts and mining industry bought those cars. Now there are more and more rich people in Chongqing, who may run the business of medicine, IT and other industries.

　　The dealerships of Mercedes-Benz said that with the extension of product line, the most inexpensive model is only over 300,000 yuan. Some executives from large companies now become customers as well. According to the organizing committee's introduction, by June 11 2,000 cars (including orders) were sold the Chongqing Auto Show, which were worth about 300 million yuan.
