According to the monitoring statistics of 36 major cities across China which was collected by the Price Monitoring Center of National Development and Reform Commission, the overall prices in China's auto market showed the trend of slight declining. Both the prices of domestic cars and imported cars dropped.
The Price Monitoring Center revealed the report on October 14. The report showed that in September the prices of domestic cars dropped for three consecutive months. The prices declined by 0.41% compared with the previous month and by 0.30% year on year, according to Henan Business Daily.
The prices of passenger cars declined slightly, which dropped by 0.09% compared with the previous month and by 2.56% year on year. Among all the passenger cars, the prices of basic passenger cars declined by 0.54% on a month-on-month basis. The prices of sports passenger cars remained the same compared with the previous month. The prices of mini passenger cars rose by 0.49% on a month-on-month basis. The prices of commercial cars declined in an unstable condition. The prices of various models changed differently. In September, the prices of commercial cars dropped by 0.35% compared with the previous month and increased by 3.02% compared with the same period of last year. Among all the commercial cars, the prices of commercial passenger cars declined by 0.68% compared with the previous month and increased by 1.38% year on year. As to specific models, the prices of light and large passenger cars dropped by 2.33% and 0.11% respectively compared with the previous month. The prices of commercial trucks increased by 0.12% on a month-on-month basis and increased by 5.41% year on year. As to specific models, the prices of medium-size trucks increased by 0.90% on a month-on-month basis. The prices of light and heavy trucks dropped by 0.16% and 0.22% respectively compared with the previous month.
In September, the prices of imported cars dropped by 0.20% on a month-on-month basis and increased by 9.62% year on year. Among all the imported vehicles, the prices of imported sedans and off-road vehicles dropped by 0.02% and 0.39% respectively compared with the previous month.
