PSA 4 measures to achieve 2 million sales

　　On May 6, PSA Peugeot Citroen Group and China Changan Automotive Group announced the two sides would form a joint venture after negotiations. Claude Vajsman, PSA Peugeot Citroen Group Executive Vice President and CEO of PSA China accepted interviews of news media including Sohu Auto.

　　Claude Vajsman said car sales of PSA in Chinese car market could account for 10% by 2020 with sales reach 2 million units. To achieve this goal, first, PSA will deepen its cooperation with Dongfeng. Second, PSA must make the most of its advantage in European market, such as big advantage in commercial vehicle field. So far, PSA has no plan to cooperate with Dongfeng on commercial vehicle.

　　In addition, PSA hasn’t brought some its products in European market such as SUV to China. In future plan of PSA, it wants to cut half of products’ carbon emissions in 2020 with carbon dioxide emissions of its each vehicle reach 90 to 100 grams. To achieve this goal, PSA has planned the following four points:

　　1, to strengthen cooperation with Dongfeng, especially in product planning efforts

　　2, continue to strengthen the effort in developing technical center in Shanghai, including cooperation with research institutes

　　3, looking for new partners to expand business in China, especially the production of light commercial vehicles

　　4, signing agreement with Changan to produce environmental friendly light commercial vehicles and special passenger cars
