Compared with last year, the data has grown up by 26.11% and 26.86%, separately. The year on year increase maintains high speed growth. A number of joint-venture brands, led by Shanghai GM brands, had a strong performance, While Chery, BYD, Geely, Brilliance and other independent brands slow down their pace.
70% automakers archived their sales goal
According to sales data from various automakers, many joint ventures have been completed the target though the first three quarters. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and other luxury brands have early completed this year's sales task, and sales in the first half year are close to the whole last year. Shanghai GM, led by the rapid sales growth companies, has sold over 1 million vehicles this year.
From the above sales statistics in the first 11 months, Chery has a rapidly rising trend.
In the growth rate, JVs brands, like Shanghai GM, Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen-year gains are more than 30%, while the independent brand growth rate is slow than overall market, but Chery is a different case, which has a fairly rapid growth in product size.
Now, according to statistics, about t automakers archived their sales goal. As many joint ventures this year launched their own independent brands, it is expected that China independent brands will face even greater challenges next year.
China independent automakers launching less new models
in the aspects of new models, the independent brands have slowed down their pace. In the Guangzhou Auto Show this year, there are only 20 new models debuted by all the independent brands. So the gap between the brand and joint ventures is relatively large. and many independent automakers only introduced one new model or none into the market, such as the Lifan, Brilliance, JAC, HuaTai, etc. it is partly because that independent automakers putted less investment in the development of new models. But there are exceptions such as Geely, whose performance is impressive. It introduced new models every month and its multi-brands strategy has shown a considerable advantage.
